Down Flow Coalescer

Down flow coalescer, filters and coalesces on a bed of oleophilic resin. It is designed to treat oily water with suspended material.

The oily water flows down through a oleophilic resin bed ROC 120 (Elf Patent) which in the same time fixes and coalesces the oil droplets and traps suspended solids.
When the filter is saturated, the differential pressure transmitter then triggers an air and water washing at counter current. The wash cycles are performed on average every 10 hours.

The coalescer finds his application in the field of the refinery, petrochemistry, the industry and the treatment of underground water polluted by hydrocarbons. It shall be installed after a primary treatment.
The treatment by coalescence allows results lower than 10 ppm.
